For many, Paul’s words can be difficult. They are tangled with cultural assumptions, challenging language, and some parts have been used to wound rather than heal. Yet within these letters are words that have been transformational, challenging and empowering to countless christians across centuries.

Listen to the beauty that still sings through his words:
“Love is patient, love is kind… it always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” “Now we see only a reflection, as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face.” “Nothing in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God.” “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds.” “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” “The Spirit helps us in our weakness, interceding with sighs too deep for words.”

In this series, we’ll listen anew, not neglecting what is hard but holding tightly to what is radically transformative, seeking the heart of Paul’s message.
