What to Expect

Visiting a church for the first time can be intimidating.  We want you to feel completely at home when you visit.  Below are answers to a few frequently asked questions.  If you have additional questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

When are services?

Services start at 10am on Sunday.  Just like when you go to the movies or a play, it’s usually a good idea to show up a few minutes early so that you don’t feel rushed and you have time to grab a cup of coffee and find your seat before the service begins.

What should I wear?

We want you to feel comfortable. After all, we are thrilled you are joining us and want you to be more focused on the service and what God might be trying to communicate to you than on what you are wearing.  So whether you are wearing jeans and a t-shirt or a sharp-looking suit, we think you’ll fit right in.

What is going to happen?

Hospitality is a big deal at Edgewood Church.  From the time you pull into the parking lot till the time you leave, you will find friendly people helping you navigate your way through your first visit.  Coffee and pastries will be served in our hospitality area – this is a great opportunity to meet someone new or grab some breakfast on your way into church.

The actual service typically consists of a variety of songs, meditative practices, and a teaching – all centered on the particular theme of the day.  The goal here is to help you connect with God in a meaningful way.  Everyone does this a little differently and you are welcome to do whatever makes you feel most comfortable.
