Current Service Opportunities:
Mentoring Opportunities
One of the best ways to make a difference in a young person’s life is to simply spend time with them. We are compiling a list of people who are interested in mentoring elementary and middle school-age children.
There are opportunities to mentor weekly, monthly, or on a more short-term basis and may include tutoring and homework assistance, teaching life skills, and inviting a student to join you for fun activities. Sharing your time with another child could change the whole trajectory of their life!
Hospitality Team
If you enjoy making people feel comfortable in a new environment, have a great smile, and a warm heart then the Hospitality Team is the place for you. The Hospitality Team helps people feel loved, cared for, and welcomed from the moment they pull into the parking lot. What a great way to help people prepare to connect with God!
Time Requirements: Sundays 9am-10am
Set-up/Clean-up Team
If you are organizationally gifted or just gifted at moving small to large objects this could be the Service Team for you! Not only does the Set-up/Clean-up Team have a lot of fun, but they are the backbone to everything that happens on Sunday mornings. They help create the setting for people to connect with God and God to connect with people.
Time Requirements: Sunday 8am-9am & 11am-12pm
Music Team
Join the team and help people from all walks of life connect to God through the universal language of music! If you play and instrument, sing, or like to hang out with people who do, this is the place for you!
Time Requirements: Weekly Rehearsal (Thursday evenings), Sunday mornings 8am-12pm
Tech Team
If you are a Power Point enthusiast or love working with sound and video equipment – this could be a great place for you to plug in at Edgewood Church. The Tech Team helps people connect to God by engaging people on multiple sensory levels and through a variety of media outlets.
Time Requirements: Sundays 9am-11am (prep time during the week varies)
Community Service
One of our core values is being good news to the people around us. We have various projects and ways to get involved and serve our community, ranging from construction or repair work to passing out free breakfast as people head to work.
Time Requirements: Varies.
